A Godly life is not built in a day!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with setting goals to be better and stronger in Christ for the new year, but don’t let this desire only burn from the 31st to the 1st. God will not reveal Himself to you on the 1st because you made a decision to be closer to Him on the 31st. An intimate relationship with God is about CONSISTENCY. You make a decision and you follow through with it. It’s tough, but it’s needful in order to experience all of who God is. The Bible encourages us to be ‘FERVENT’ in prayer. When we are fervent we are passionate. We have a hot, burning desire for more of Jesus. Romans 4:2 also says; “Devote yourself in prayer.” To devote is to commit. Commitment doesn’t happen in a day, but it starts WITH a day. As you keep making a consistent effort to have a daily prayer life, let go of things and people that are a distraction to your faith and just overall seek to live a life that is pleasing to GOD through faith, there is absolutely no doubt you will see not only growth, but a renewing of your mind. Start with 1 scripture a day or even a daily devotional plan, or attending Bible studies. Whatever it is that will aid your growth spiritually. The important thing in all this is to be consistent. God instructs us to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. [James 4:8]. We must draw near to Him more than once a week, more than 5 minutes a day, more than just saying the Lords prayer every night as a ritual, but neglecting Him throughout the day. Truth is Jesus will never leave you longing and thirsting for Him. He will always meet you at your need and fill you up. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.” [Mathew 5:6] Just desire Him, get to know more of Him through His word & NEVER stop.

Happy New Year!✨Lets make it a fruitful one!
