It is well with my soul.

While praying and interceding for an issue I have been looking to God to, He led me to this song. Before stumbling across this song, the Lord also led me to Revelation 21:5 that says; “Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold I make all things new.” And He said to me, write, for these words are true and faithful.” I know his word is true because the undeniable feeling of peace, and comfort I feel when I read His word, and worship Him despite what I see is unexplainable. After reading God’s promise to make all things new, in Revelation 21:5 He reminded me with this song that it is well with my soul. Just as part of the song says, “Through it all my eyes are on you.” As long as my eyes are fixed on Jesus and His promise, it is well with my soul. God keeps reminding me that it is not about what I see, it is not about how bleak things may appear, it is about who God is and what he says in His word. Remember, God tells us in Isaiah 55 vs 11. “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth, it shall NOT return to me void/empty.” This just means, His word is TRUTH. His word does NOT fail to stand, or fail to do the work in which He has purposed for it to do. Be encouraged.

No matter what storm you are facing currently….never forget that “He makes all things new.” and through it all, it is well with your soul.

  1. A truly beautiful song.
His words can never be broken, so when He says, “it is well,” we have hope. He sees what is coming and speaks accordingly, and though we don’t see it yet, we hold fast to His testimony.
    Thanks for sharing, Andrea.
