Its been a while, but I read this today and it made me stop and think. It made me check myself… Look back at the interactions I have with my clients at work, my colleagues, my family, even strangers. Do i leave positive imprints on people’s hearts? Do i make people feel loved, appreciated and important through my conversations, ,my actions and my decisions? I never want to leave a bitter taste in anyone’s mouth by lacking the ability to show love. Not just any kind of love but Gods love. That’s the only kind of love that can be expressed through me that can cause someone to in turn feel loved and important. It could even be a simple gesture as holding the door open or smiling at someone, or even just complimenting a person. Better yet, telling someone Jesus loves them.
. People should be joyful when they spend time around you, they should feel happy. Not put down, crushed, abused or alone. The only way to make sure your interactions bless rather than curse is to radiate the exact same love Christ shows you. The Bible says in 1st Corinthians chapter 13 v 7 “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes and preserves. Try to evaluate your daily interactions, are these characteristics evident? and do people leave your presence feeling protected? feeling they can trust you? feeling you look out for their best interests? Its important our presence draws people to God, to want to know him rather than draw people away from him. If you have to do away with pride then do so. If you have to smile more, then do so. If you have to give more than you take, then do so. Lets all try (i speak to myself as well) to have a warm and loving impact on the people we find ourselves surrounded by, the way Jesus did. You never know what a person might be going through that day. xo
